Contemporary inspirational artist, Denise Rosier (pronounced Rosie-AY), is an award-winning singer/songwriter, producer, and recording artist. She is best known for writing music for spiritual communities, and open and affirming church denominations. Her original songs have been released on 5 solo studio albums, as well as being featured on various compilation albums and television. Denise's first album Only A Whisper Away was released in 2001, and from there her music has taken her to audiences as far away as Osaka, Japan. Her inspirational albums One Heart (2013), EVERYDAY (2016), and Heart Of Praise Vol. 1 (2019) have garnered 11 Positive Music Award nominations, and 9 wins. Denise is the first artist to successfully introduce New Thought music to the larger inspirational music audience by winning two nominations for Best Contemporary Christian/Gospel album at the Independent Music Awards in 2016 and 2019. Her newest album is Higher (2024) .
Most recently, Denise was honored to receive the 2023 Grace Note Award from Unity Worldwide Ministries for lifetime achievement in positive and inspirational music. Denise currently serves as the Music Director for the Centers Of Spiritual Living Organization.
Giving Back
Writing, and performing, aren't the only places where Denise invests her creative energy. In 2006, she became a staff writer for the Songs Of Love Foundation. The Songs of Love Foundation is an organization of songwriters who write original songs for children who are terminally ill, or have special needs. Denise has written songs for over 300 children through this amazing organization, and has performed her songs of love in English, Hindi, and Chuukese (Micronesian). Professional instrument giant, Yamaha, profiled her for her use of their keyboards in doing good in the world.
HGTV & House Hunters
In 2017, Denise's move from Orange County, California to Colorado Springs, CO was featured on HGTV's show "House Hunters (Wanting Wow In Colorado)". Soon after landing in Colorado Springs, local newspaper The Gazette published a story on Denise and, partner, Christy Dueck’s, move crediting their choice as further helping to defeat the city’s outdated reputation of intolerance.
Denise’s musical expression takes many avenues, but the common denominator is her ability to deliver a song with honesty and refreshing authenticity. Audiences are drawn to her warmth and accessibility, and they see themselves in the stories she tells.
